ReplyDeleteAfter thrashing the body, they went back to town where they hid at a friend’s house in Little Japan. She begged Stephen not to stay there, but his stubborn nature and his obsession with hiding in plain sight made every alternative impossible. When she heard the quick footsteps coming up the stairs, she wasn’t surprised.
