Flash Fiction: Presentation by Lou Rera (Buffalo State College)

Presentation by Lou Rera (Buffalo State College) for the 2010 NMC Symposium on New Media & Learning (March, 2010,http://www.nmc.org/2010-nml-symposium)

Flash fiction is fiction of extreme brevity. There is no widely accepted length of a flash fiction story. Some stories can be as few as six-words, as in Ernest Hemingway's famous: "For Sale: Baby shoes, never worn." A 1,000 word story is often viewed as the maximum. A demonstration and sample of original flash fiction will be incorporated in the digital story telling experience using a multimedia approach. The focus will be to discuss the problems and most effective solutions in creating and presenting digital narratives.
